Designing for AIWF is lot's of fun. The events come up fast and furious and there is no time to diddle around being indecisive. And, because costs need to be kept at a minimum, the invitations for the events are usually (but not always) one-color flyers with the option for colored stock. In other words, I need to get a lot of bang for my buck and aptly utilize tints and shades and/or the combination of ink and paper to create additional "colors," which is great exercise for designing within limited parameters. Following are just a few of the dozens of print materials I've created for the Chicago chapter of this venerable institution, started in 1981 by the late, greats Julia Child and Robert Mondavi.
