2013 Oscars Viewing Party Invitation & Poster
Capitalizing on the fact that the biggest reason why many people watch the Academy Awards is for the fashion, and recognizing that people are mostly awful (no judgement!) and that they (me) sit with their fingers crossed praying for a fashion disaster, the theme for the 2013 Center On Halsted's annual Oscar viewing party was born. Divinely inspired by Bjork, the reigning queen of the "Glamour Don't," I wrote a little poem, designed a little invitation and, with the rest of Chicago, waited with breath duly bated for the big night. Alas, no water fowl waddled the red carpet, but great fun was still had by all!
